Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth. Each set is worn for around 1–2 weeks before swapping to the next, and each one moves your teeth slightly closer to their target position. Most patients wear them 20–22 hours a day, only removing them to eat and brush.
Most adult cases at our Forest Hill clinic take between 4 and 12 months. Once your teeth are in their new position, we provide both fixed retainers (a thin wire bonded behind your front teeth) and removable retainers — together they keep your beautiful new smile stable for the long term.
