A small overlap is normal and healthy. It becomes a problem when the lower teeth are almost hidden, or when they bite into the palate behind the upper teeth.
Left untreated, deep bites cause progressive wear that eventually needs crowns or composite rebuilding — a much bigger job than correcting the bite in the first place.
Clear aligners can intrude (push in) the front teeth and level the bite, sometimes with small tooth-coloured attachments or elastics to control the movement.
Skeletal overbites in adults occasionally need a specialist orthodontic or surgical opinion; we'll refer you if that's genuinely the better route.
