All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 is a clever full-arch implant technique developed by Nobel Biocare. Instead of placing 8–10 implants per jaw, just four are used — with the rear two angled at 30–45 degrees for maximum strength and to make the most of the available bone.

The four implants then support a full bridge of fixed, beautifully crafted teeth — for the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both.

Because All-on-4 implants are designed to support a temporary fixed bridge from the moment they're placed, you can often walk out of our Forest Hill clinic with a full set of fixed teeth on the same day as your surgery — which is why this treatment is sometimes called 'teeth in a day' or 'smile in a day'.

All-on-4 is often an excellent option for patients who:

• Are missing most or all of the teeth in one or both arches
• Wear dentures and want something fixed and more comfortable
• Have been told they have too little bone for traditional implants
• Want a quicker, more affordable alternative to a full arch of single implants

• Removable dentures — rest on the gums, may need adhesive, typically £400–£2,500 per jaw, replaced every ~5 years as the bone shrinks.

Pros: fixed permanently, faster treatment and recovery, excellent value, no removal for cleaning, work even when there is some bone loss.

Cons: some patients need a short adjustment period for speech, the artificial gum can feel slightly bulky at first, and the failure of even one implant can affect the whole bridge — making good aftercare and regular check-ups essential.
