Your first visit to London Dental Arts is a proper, unhurried examination. We check every tooth, assess your gums, review your bite and screen for early signs of disease — then explain exactly what we found and what (if anything) needs doing, in plain English.
1What happens at your first appointment
We start by listening. Whether you're in pain, unhappy with how your smile looks, or simply overdue a check-up, we want to understand what matters to you before we pick up an instrument.
The examination itself covers each tooth and existing filling, the health and depth of your gum pockets, your bite and jaw joints, and a soft-tissue screening of the cheeks, tongue and throat. Where useful we take digital x-rays and photographs so you can see exactly what we're describing.
2Your plan, your pace
You leave with a clear written plan setting out what needs attention now, what can wait and watch, and what is purely optional. Every item is costed up front — there are no surprises at reception.
Most healthy patients are seen every six months, with hygienist visits in between. If your gums or risk profile need closer attention we'll recommend a schedule that suits you rather than a one-size-fits-all recall.
